With all the snow and freezing, I find myself thinking of warmer places I have visited. July 2007-June 2008 marked the awesome-est warm-weather travel period of my life so far. Those 12 months saw me travel to Hawai’i, Australia, Brazil, and Costa Rica. Join me as I look back at some of those pictures and fantasize about warm places!
We went to Kaua’i for my sister’s wedding. It was beautiful ceremony, and of course we also got to travel around the island a bit.
Here is a moody beach photo Graham took in the morningCanoeing is a big part of Hawai’ian culture, and of course, of special interest to us! We were happy to see this regatta in Hanalei Bay (sprints with turns), and we really wanted to race! The Kilauea lighthouse. This is also a bird sanctuary, so there were lots of sea birds and ground-nesters there.Another Graham award-winnerand of course, since we were there for a wedding - mandaotry dress shot, although casual.
