I am a fan of Art Nouveau, so I was excited to go to Riga, the ‘Paris of the Baltic’. It has both a UNESCO-listed old town and a well-preserved Art Nouveau district. I got to make a nice tour on the weekend; you can do a virtual tour here to find out about the sights/sites in the old town. There are a lot of architectural pictures, so I will split this into two posts. Today: Art Nouveau! Next time: Medieval old town!
