Conference time!

This week we are hosting a conference in Saskatoon.  It has been about 18 months in the planning, and I have been involved in the scientific side of things – submissions from scientists who’d like to present, recruiting and managing peer-reviewers, and deciding which presentations to include.  The last weeks have been pretty intense, involving training volunteers, planning catering, and getting the final numbers. It will be great to see some of my colleagues again, as folks will be traveling from USA, Sweden, and other parts of Canada. I am optimistic that this week will be fun, even with long days and taking care of the little issues that arise.  Wish me luck!
