Happy Thanksgiving, and belated Happy Birthday to my Mum!
On Thanksgiving weekend itself I am a bit under the weather, but a couple weeks before we did some entertaining with a Victoria-style Afternoon Tea Party. Thinking back to the previous two autumns when I went to Victoria for a legit tea party, I decided to bring some of that vibe to Tullinge. It was nice to think about the Aunties (great and courtesy and regular) and the different iterations of tea party I had been to over the years.
There was definitely some advance planning and preparation so that a bunch of things could be assembled on the day and we hosts could chill out while the guests were here. I think it worked well on that front.
We had a lovely multi-generational visit with guests from about 1 year to 60+ years. Everyone went home with a goodie bag of leftovers of their favourites, and we had leftovers for a few days too.
